Perfected Art

I’ve mastered the craft of thriving in the dark
To the extent that I wouldnt know how to be
If I ever found light.
I wouldn’t know how to be if I ever found company.
Or even what to say or do if that ever happened!
The knowledge, the memories, they all faded away.
It’s just these faint images and vague dreams of the past.
I’ve perfected the art solitude
And slowly its turned into gratitude
It’s all I know, Its all I understand.
There were times it hurt,
But as pain is a function of time;
As time tends to infinity, pain tends to zero.
The pain faded away into this soothing numbness.
Got lost somewhere deep within like a stone at sea.

I perfected the art of being alone
I’ve perfected the art of solitude.

I write to get a better understanding of the world, why we feel the way we feel and how we can channel our emotions to achieve greater stories
